Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Special Education teacher for a full-time temporary position through the end of the school year. A good candidate for this job must be able to use online as well as in person teaching techniques to establish a fun and engaged learning experience, and effectively manage an IEP caseload. 


Job Duties


  • Identifies unique student needs and collaborates with other team members and outside service providers, diagnoses and address learning challenges
  • Establishes a culture of high expectations that includes college and career readiness for all students
  • Actively participates in professional development activities, including training sessions and working with a lead teacher, dean, instructional coaches
  • Tracks critical student information and maintains accurate student records, including attendance, in accordance with school procedures
  • Provides students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom activities and student progress; finds ways to involve parents/guardians in their students’ education
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and support, e3 mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Provides Specialized Academic Instruction, both by supporting and/or co-teaching with general education teachers, as well as implementing interventions in one on one and small group settings.
  • Manages an IEP caseload: writing legally defensible IEPs, assessing students’ progress, communicating with all necessary parties, and organizing and holding IEP meetings. 


Job Qualifications

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Valid California Teaching Credential in Special Education (mild to moderate)
  • English Learner Authorization (EL/CLAD)
